I initially signed on for NS in January 75 with postings to SGU, Harare and Waterfalls then left the force once completing my year,afterwhich I decided to re-enlisted as a regular in July 76 after a couple of monthes of continious call up in Chirundu which was a lot of fun. From July 76 through July 78 I spent 2 great years in Salisbury Central Control Room 2 relief.Since then I have been living in the States. 1978-1990 in Houston Tx. and since then in Knoxville. Tn. where I am the Head Diving Coach at the University of Tennessee.I travel both the USA and world extensively and visit Zimb every couple of years. During my last visit in May 2001 I had the privilege of going by depot to see the BSAP museum which brought back many great memories.

On leaving in Nov 1968 went to London (Eng) and worked at Kings Investigation Bureau in Chancery Lane for three years then immigrated to Sydney Australia. After Morris Depot, was stationed at Salisbury Central Control Room 3 Relief. Drove 'B' Cars for about 2 1/2 years. 11-7, Tag was great. Then went to Salisbury Licence Inspectorate, and became 2 i/c there with W/C/Inspector Frances Fourie.Nick Lywood, Floris De Meyer,Noelene (Magic) Madgewick, Lynn Wyatt,Alister Steuart,and others. Nick Lywood and myself were attached to the Royal Motorcycle Escort, for Bonnie Prince Charlie, at Independence Celebrations.Did PATU call-ups, Gutu, Nuanetsi, Charlie Charlie,Mt Darwin,Bindura,& Eastern Highlands(Some obscure place, the name escaped me 25 years ago-Medivacced out, due to malaria,and Tick Bite Fever.Those were good old days.Came to S.A. 1981, joined Clover Dairies, left as Sales Manager Natal South Coast. 1985 started Ice Cream vending Business.Sold in 1993, and started manufacturing Wooden Educational Toys and Puzzles.Any-one who remembers me can contact me.
