Johnstone, Simon Patrick Gavin, aged 76 (7773; Patrol Officer; served from June 1967 – Squad 5/1967 – to June 1970; last stationed Borrowdale, Salisbury & Mashonaland; member of the Australian BSAP Regimental Association) passed away 27 January 2024 at Canberra, Australia Capital Territory, Australia

Hon Secretary Australia Association writes,
“It is with deep sadness that we advise the passing of Simon Johnstone 7773 in Canberra on 27th January 2024.
Simon served from 20th August 1967 to 30th June 1970 and thereafter became an “A” Reservist and did several call-ups in PATU during the war.
He worked as a journalist and presenter for RBCTV.
A staunch member of the BSAP Regimental Association. Chairman for two years and our Vice Chairman for many years. Editor of the Outpost for many years.
Although fighting a brave battle against ill health, Simon never lost his sense of humour or his winning smile. He will be sadly missed.
Our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Simon’s daughter Steph Campbell and his sister Fiona Wijnberg from the Chairman, committee and members of the BSAP Australia.
