24 Dec Seasonal Greetings: Chairman – United Kingdom Association
Greetings to the widespread BSAP Family,
As the recently elected Chair of the United Kingdom Branch of the Association, the honour is bestowed upon me to send Christmas Greetings, felicitations, and a message of goodwill on behalf of the Committee and membership of the UK and Ireland Branch of the Association.
Like everyone else, the inevitable theme of the message will be the lamenting of the waste of a year of our lives, imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, and, particularly here in the UK, there are tens of millions of people whose Christmas plans, restricted as they were anyway, have had those plans shredded by new restrictions imposed by the Government, meaning very limited social contact of any description throughout the festive period.
Like other Branches around the world, our regular gatherings, social events and formal occasions have all been cancelled this year, but we are holding out positive hopes that the vaccination programme underway will enable us to restart our gatherings some time in 2021.
So, looking forward to happier times for all, may I, on behalf of all of us here in the UK, take this opportunity of wishing you all, wherever in the world you may be, a very Merry Christmas, and a peaceful, prosperous, and above all, a safe and healthy 2021 and beyond.
Best wishes,
Jim Harris
